Welcome to the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, a comprehensive program with two tracks, one for pediatrics and the other for internal medicine. We are committed to an outstanding fellowship program that provides fellows who aspire to become leading researchers, clinical investigators and physician scientists with the skills necessary for successful careers in academic medicine.

Our Staff
The Division of Allergy and Immunology, the Department of Pediatrics and Cincinnati Children's provide outstanding surroundings for fellowship training. Our 15 faculty members, 4 nurses, and 5 pediatric fellows provide care to approximately 5,000 patients each year. Within all of our clinical, research and educational training, we strive to change the outcome for our patients. The Section of Allergy and Immunology, housed in the Division of Immunology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine boasts one of the few NIH sponsored training grants in the specialty to train
physicians in allergy and immunology. Besides outstanding clinical and basic research, the section's 5 faculty members and 3 internal medicine fellows provides allergy and immunology services to adult patients at the University of Cincinnati Hospitals and the Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Program Structure
The fellowship program is structured to include three years of training: one year is spent mainly in clinical care and two years are primarily devoted to provide protected time for laboratory, clinical or translational research, while maintaining a continuity clinic. This structure will assist to sustain clinical skills and draw on clinically related questions for bench research. The program is structured to achieve successful preparation for certification by the American Board of Allergy / Immunology with a 100% pass rate for our graduates in recent years.
