Allowance Guidelines

Fellows are granted $200 during each fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). To be used to cover appropriate expenditures related to fellowship training, including relevant books, dues, etc. For those fellows on the training grant, additional items are covered, such as tuition, books for coursework, etc.

Conference / Travel

Each fellow is encouraged to attend one conference per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). If there is an additional specific conference that a fellow feels would be beneficial to their research/career, a pre-submission meeting should be held with Amal Assa'ad, MD to make sure funding is available. If an abstract/paper is accepted to an additional conference, the Division will make every effort to obtain funding for the fellow to attend the conference, but support cannot be guaranteed.

The allowance amount should reasonably cover participation in a conference, including registration, housing, transportation and a food allowance.
