Pediatric Anesthesia

The Department of Anesthesia at Cincinnati Children's offers a one-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship in pediatric anesthesia. Additional experiences in clinical and laboratory science research are available for interested candidates.

Pediatric Neuroanesthesiology

The department also offers a six month to one-year fellowship program in pediatric neuroanesthesiology, as well as one- to six-month rotations in pediatric pain medicine, pediatric cardiac anesthesia, pediatric airway surgery anesthesia and pediatric neurophysiological monitoring.

Pediatric Pain Management

In conjunction with the University of Cincinnati Department of Anesthesia, Cincinnati Children's also offers a 12-month fellowship combining pediatric and adult pain management, which will result in sub-specialty board eligibility in pain medicine. In addition, the pediatric anesthesia fellowship and the pediatric-adult pain fellowship can be combined into a 20-month program leading to sub-specialty board eligibility in pain medicine and sub-specialty certification in pediatric anesthesiology.

Pediatric Anesthesiology for the Practicing Anesthesiologist

We also offer Pediatric Anesthesiology for the Practicing Anesthesiologist (the PAPA Program), in which practicing anesthesiologists can augment their pediatric anesthesia skills and experience in a one- to two-week program combining one-on-one teaching and hands-on experience in our busy operating room.
