Faculty and Staff
Currently, the Division of Emergency Medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center has 25 full-time academic faculty, nine fellows and a core of experienced clinical faculty. Division members have a broad range of clinical and research interests including:
- Toxicology
- Child Abuse
- Injury prevention and trauma care
- Acute respiratory disease
- Pre-hospital care
- Health services and clinical effectiveness
- Child advocacy
- Sedation and analgesia
- Medical education
Currently faculty grant support in the areas of immunizations in the ED, physical and sexual abuse, faculty development, maternal mental health in the ED, injury prevention and patient safety with Human Patient Simulation.
Faculty in other divisions are readily available through subspecialty electives and informal consultations in the ED.
Our Division is closely affiliated with the University of Cincinnati Department of Emergency Medicine -- the oldest and one of the strongest departments in the country. In addition to our mutual training arrangements, we meet regularly to discuss topics of interest.
