Overview
The Neurology Department at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center offers a comprehensive fellowship in pediatric epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology.
The goals of the fellowship are to develop competence in clinical epilepsy, video / EEG monitoring, including epilepsy surgery and related procedures, electroencephalography and evoked potentials, and investigational antiepileptic drug trials.
Fellows are active in clinical research, education, and have elective time to pursue related topics in epilepsy. We are affiliated with The University of Cincinnati Medical Center, which allows the fellow to rotate on the adult epilepsy service.
The fellowship is structured about a one-year period; however, it is recommended that those physicians interested in academic medicine to pursue a second year of expanded experience in these areas, and more in depth research on a project developed during the first year.
The second year allows for an emphasis on developing long-term research projects, and application for funding.
