Research Training
The fellowship program within the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Cincinnati Children's offers extensive opportunities for comprehensive clinical training and research experience in hematology, oncology, blood and marrow transplantation, and immunology / immunodeficiencies.
Many exciting research opportunities are available for fellows during their second and third years. These opportunities are not limited to the Division of Hematology/Oncology, but also include research experience within the Division of Experimental Hematology and Cancer Biology, as well as other divisions at Cincinnati Children's and the University of Cincinnati. Our well-rounded approach to training provides fellows with experience in many clinical areas, as well as opportunities in translational and basic science research supervised by nationally recognized faculty.
The knowledge gained through the basic science and translational research is used in the development of innovative treatments for cancer and genetic and acquired diseases affecting the blood system. Fellows may participate in formal research programs, including:
