Overview of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship
The Division of Neonatology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, in partnership with the Perinatal Institute, offers a three-year fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Through a flexible curriculum that focuses on meeting the career goals of the individual fellow, we are committed to providing a comprehensive fellowship program that offers the best educational, clinical and research experience available to launch a successful academic career in neonatology.
Our program curriculum is designed to ensure that fellows graduate with the education and skills needed to manage a wide breadth of neonatal diseases and physiology, an awareness of neonatal outcomes, teaching skills to train others, and the research training that will promote their continued research success and contribution to the field of neonatology.
We have consistently been recognized as a leader in neonatal care by U.S. News and World Report, recently ranking 4th in the nation. Neonatologists from our division provide clinical coverage and medical leadership for three Cincinnati area level III Newborn Intensive Care Units and seven level II Special Care Nurseries. In an area with over 30,000 deliveries per year, this ensures that fellows are involved in the care of all newborns requiring specialty care in the region.
