Candidates must be United States citizens or have a permanent visa. Candidates may be invited to Cincinnati for interviews with relevant laboratory directors and the selection committee. The deadline for applications is Nov. 1.

Documents Needed to Apply

  1. You must submit a curriculum vitae that includes undergraduate institution, field of concentration, medical school, details of postgraduate medical training, medical licensure, board certification, research experience, honors and awards, and publications.
  2. You must submit two letters of recommendation sent directly by faculty members who are familiar with your academic and clinical performance. For external candidates, one letter must be from either the chairman of the pediatrics department or the director of the relevant subspecialty program where you are in training. For internal candidates, one letter must be from your Division Director or Department Chair, and one from your proposed research mentor. These letters must be sent to the following address:

  3. You must submit a synopsis, no longer than two pages, describing your career goals and type of training desired.
  4. You must submit a research proposal, no longer than three pages, describing your project.
  5. You must submit a list of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center faculty members who appear to offer the training you desire.
