Computing Requirements
To participate in Applying Genomics in Nursing Practice, Part 1, offered through the Genetics Education Program for Nurses at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, participants' computers must meet specific requirements:
- Computer of 120 MHZ Intel Pentium processor
64 MB of RAM - At least a modem: 56 kbps (Network card and broadband would be preferred)
- Sound card: 16 bit card and speakers
- 65,000 color video display card
- CD ROM capabilities
- Windows 95, 98, WinNT, ME, 2000 and XP or Macintosh OS 9, OS X
- Browser support: Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6; Netscape Navigator 6 series or 7 series
- Javascript and Cookies must be enabled in order to use all the features in Blackboard
- Email access
- You will need to download the following in order to complete and / or take full advantage of the assignments and supplemental resources:
- Adobe Acrobat
- Flash Player
- Quicktime
- RealOne Player
- Shockwave
