Scoring Curriculum Resources
During the GPNF's Genetic Summer Institutes (GSI), nursing faculty participants were given the opportunity to evaluate a wide variety of genetics educational resources.
Participants were asked to complete a brief evaluation form for each resource that they reviewed.
A median total score was calculated for each resource that was evaluated by 6 or more participants. The total possible score was 30. Ratings were based on the following scale:
| 23-30 | Excellent |
| 15-22 | Good |
| 7-14 | Fair |
| 0-6 | Poor |
Resources that were evaluated by fewer than 6 participants do not have a listed score/rating. This resource page will be updated after each subsequent GSI.
Nearly 800 evaluation forms were completed by participants from the 1997, 1998, and 1999 GSIs. Data entry and analyses were conducted and the resource list was created by Carol Hetteberg, M.S.N., R.N.
