Overview

The Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics Division at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center offers an internationally recognized residency program in Pediatric Dentistry.

Five residents are accepted each year for the two-year program.

Extensive clinical experience is offered in well child care, behavior management, conscious sedation, operating room care, interceptive orthodontics, treatment for patients with significant medical, physical, and mental conditions and emergency care including trauma and facial cellulitis. A research project is also a requirement during the program.

Specialty clinics in endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, and esthetic dentistry are included and are staffed by specialists in each discipline. Experience in the team management of craniofacial patients is also a part of the program.

Candidates must be graduates of a US or Canadian dental school and be participants in the PASS matching program. The deadline for applications is September 15.
