First Year Residencies

The Pastoral Care Department at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center offers two first year residency positions in Clinical Pastoral Education. The residency is structured so that students receive mentoring in two of three primary areas: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Hematology/Oncology. First-year residents also gain extensive experience in trauma ministry during their on-call rotations.

For 2007, the stipend is currently $26,000. The program begins in September and runs through August. The clinical setting is a 475-bed freestanding pediatric medical center with a Level One Trauma Center and various medical and surgical specialties recognized nationally and internationally.
