The Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMS-C) Education program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center created the Pedi-Pack in 1991, due to lack of pediatric equipment in the prehospital care setting. Currently, over 120 Pedi-Packs are in circulation.
