Seals of the Pedi-Pack

See the previous slide in our tutorial of the Pedi Pack.

The seals of the Cincinnati Children's Pedi Pack cannot be broken until the bag is actually used.

This is slide 10 out of 10.

A common myth is that the seals of the Pedi-Pack cannot be broken until the bag is actually used. This is simply not true. The seals on the bag are to ensure the providers that when the Pedi-Pack left Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center it had all of the material in the bag.

The prehospital care provider should feel free to open the bag whenever he / she would like, in order to familiarize themselves with the contents. Be sure that, if you open up the bag, all of the contents are placed back inside for future use. Any seal can be used to secure the bag to be put back in service.
