Projects
At Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, primary care track residents participate in several special projects throughout the three-year program:
- PL-I primary care residents prepare (in groups of two) a pediatric primary care seminar for presentation to the primary care group late in the year on a pediatric primary care topic of their choosing.
- PL-II primary care residents prepare as a group at Tuesday noon pediatric primary care conference which is presented to all pediatric residents and medical students. These presentations are given using audio-visual aids and are accompanied by a handout.
- PL-III primary care residents prepare individually a poster on a primary care topic of their choice. These are presented to the pediatric residents and faculty at the annual Pratt Lectures seminar and submitted for review for presentation at the annual pediatric academic societies meeting. The Pratt Lecture is an annual all-day seminar which features a former Cincinnati Children's resident as the keynote speaker followed by platform presentations of research projects by pediatric residents.
