Why did you decide to come to Cincinnati?

I initially chose to come to the University of Cincinnati to attend the MD/PhD program. After arriving in Cincinnati, I chose the graduate program in Molecular and Developmental Biology because of the diverse and friendly faculty. Additionally, the close link between Cincinnati Children's Hospital and the MDB program offers a unique opportunity to interact with physicians.

Why would you recommend this program to others?

I feel that Cincinnati Children's hospital and the MDB program are leaders in their fields and that they are both expanding. The diversity of the faculty allows the student to enter the program and still go in many directions in research, whether they desire to do developmental biology, cancer biology or even immunology.

What have you enjoyed most about the program?

The closeness of the students and faculty. I communicate with numerous faculty in the program on a first name basis and the faculty have always been willing to assist me in my research.
