Cincinnati Children's has approximately 158 residents (including pediatrics and the combined programs). Each year, approximately 33 categorical pediatric appointments are made to the PL-1 class through the National Resident Matching Program. Prospective new residents are selected by a committee of full-time faculty, chief residents and house officers from each training level.

Additional residents are invited to train at Cincinnati Children's through the following combined programs:

  • Medicine / pediatrics
  • Pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation 
  • Psychiatry / child psychiatry / pediatrics
  • Human genetics / pediatrics
  • Neurology / pediatrics

Cincinnati Children's pediatric residency program participates in ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). For more information, please contact the dean's office at your college of medicine or contact our house staff coordinator, listed below.

Applicants are encouraged to make a personal visit to Cincinnati to meet the residents and faculty and tour our facilities.
