Child Life Internship and Practicum

  • Child Life Internship

The Division of Child Life at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is proud of its 16-week internship, which features experiential learning. Internship opportunities are year round, and participating students can expect to gain knowledge and experience in several different areas.

    Program Schedule

    • Adolescents

In varied clinical areas you will have the opportunity to spend time (1) planning developmentally appropriate activities for hospitalized children, (2) assisting in supervision of activity centers, (3) providing one-on-one interventions, (4) participating in preparation for and support during procedures and treatments, and (5) conducting medical play sessions, all under the supervision of Certified Child Life Specialists.
