Yes, you need to be licensed in order to begin your first day. However, we recognize that recent graduates of PT school are on the new Board Exam Schedule. Our plan is to begin the residency year mid - July as soon as you would become officially licensed. PT Students/recent graduates planning to take the early July exam are qualified to apply for the upcoming residency year.
The Program is one year in duration.
Residents are hired as full-time employees who will work 32 hours of direct patient care/week as well as an 8 hour “Residency Day.” The residency day each week includes, but not limited to: meeting with mentor, didactic coursework, specialty clinic observation, independent study, integrative project work, and other learning experiences (See Module Checklist)
