Clinical Excellence
The Department of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s received the No. 3 ranking in the country in U.S. News & World Report’s 2011 list of best medical schools for pediatrics. We provide inpatient clinical services for patients from around the world. This presents clinician-scientists with diverse pathologies to investigate and gives our researchers a front-row view of how their work changes the lives of children and their families.
A Range of Opportunities
A number of internal and external funding opportunities give trainees the ability to investigate research topics in multiple areas including pulmonary and cardiovascular biology, stem cell biology / hematopoiesis / leukemia biology, human genetics and gene therapy, cell signaling and bioinformatics. Our trainees have an outstanding track record of converting training awards to initial R01 funding, supporting their research beyond their time at Cincinnati Children’s.
