Molecular and Developmental Biology Graduate Program

  • Additional Education Opportunities

Students in the Molecular and Developmental Biology Graduate Program have access to educational opportunities outside of the classroom.

    Journal Club

At Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati, students in the Molecular and Developmental Biology Graduate Program attend weekly journal clubs encompassing many areas of biomedical research. In these meetings, students learn how to critically evaluate scientific data with the guidance of faculty mentors and senior graduate students.

    Weekly Seminars

Every year the students invite a top-name scientist from around the world to present a seminar. Past speakers have been Nobel laureates and members of the National Academy of Sciences.

In weekly lunches, students host speakers for the Cincinnati Children's Research Foundation and Developmental Biology Seminar Series. Students have commented that these lunches are a great way to get to know some of the top scientists from around the world.
