Find out why fewer kids in Cincinnati end up in the hospital.

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and our Health Policy and Clinical Effectiveness Department invite you to use our pediatric evidence-based care guidelines. Our care guidelines have been developed based on the best available evidence and expert opinion and will help you provide effective and efficient pediatric health care. In addition, related documents such as order sets, discharge instructions and clinical pathways are available.

Our pediatric evidence-based care guidelines for clinical practice are helping physicians in our region reduce hospital admissions by 6% to as much as 58%* for certain conditions:

  • Asthma
  • Bronchiolitis
  • Fever of uncertain source
  • Gastroenteritis

And for many kids who are admitted, we're sending them home sooner. We'd like to see fewer children admitted to the hospital. Wouldn't you?
