The Junior Co-Operative Society
Established in 1910, The Junior Co-Operative Society auxiliary operates and staffs the Gift Shop , located in Location C on the main campus of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
The mission of the Gift Shop is to support the happiness and welfare of medical center patients and their families and to contribute to the convenience of visitors and hospital personnel. The volunteers at the Gift Shop are fond of saying, "the more you shop, the more we give." All proceeds from the Gift Shop are donated back to the medical center.
Visitors to the Gift Shop can choose from the latest in children's merchandise, gifts and personal items carefully selected by the volunteer and professional staff.
Years of shopping proceeds have enabled The Junior Co-Operative Society to donate more than $2.8 million to Cincinnati Children's. Their funds have purchased major medical equipment, has provided funding for the Division of Infectious Diseases and established The Junior Co-Operative Society Fellowship in Pediatric Diabetes and The Junior Co-Operative Society Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
