Laurie Troudt, volunteer of 7 years: “I really do get a lot of gratification knowing that I have the ability to help ease the minds of the families during a time that can be quite stressful for them. This generally is nothing more than a warm smile and a calm demeanor.”
Located at the intersection of I-75 and State Route 129, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Liberty Campus brings a new level of specialized pediatric care to the heart of one of Greater Cincinnati's fastest growing regions. Open since August of 2008, Liberty Campus offers:
- A 24/7 emergency department
- X-rays and imaging
- Labratory and testing services
- Outpatient surgery
- A comprehensive range of pediatric medical and surgical specialty clinics
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Bringing toys and activities to outpatient clinics
- Escorting families
- Visiting patient rooms
- Offering breaks to parents
- Helping with families and children in the Emergency Department
- Assisting in specialty departments such as Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy or Speech Pathology
