BAE Systems Sponsors Cincinnati Walks for Kids
Our heartfelt thanks goes out to BAE Systems, the Lead Sponsor for the 2008 Cincinnati Walks for Kids. In addition to sponsoring the walk, BAE Systems formed a team of 69 employees, families and friends to raise money for the children and families cared for by Cincinnati Children's. Patients Get Special Holiday Visit
On Thursday, December 11, some kids at the medical center received a fun holiday surprise. Marvin Lewis, Cincinnati Bengals Head Coach, 10 Bengals players and representatives of the Marvin Lewis Community Fund dropped by the medical center to share holiday well wishes with patients. Children and their parents had the opportunity to meet Coach Lewis and the players and receive a holiday gift. Our heartfelt thanks to the Coach Lewis, the Bengals players in attendance and the Marvin Lewis Community Fund for helping to brighten the holiday season for the children. HealthWorks! Participants Enjoy Day With Brad St. Louis
Five HealthWorks! program participants attended a Cincinnati Bengals game at the invitation of Bengals long snapper and tight end Brad St. Louis and his wife, Michelle, as a reward for their consistent behavorial change through proper food choices and increased physical activity. Brad and Michelle arranged to have a limo pick up the kids and take them to and from the stadium. As a special treat after the game, the children had an opportunity to meet and take pictures with members of the team. We are grateful to Brad for his support of HealthWorks! and for taking the time to exercise with the children and provide motivational incentives to encourage them to continue a healthy lifestyle.
