Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center accepts many types of donations to support the patients and families we serve. Please contact the Department of Development, 513-636-4561, for immediate needs or additional giving opportunities.

Service Projects
- Organize a drive to collect items to be donated to Cincinnati Children's (e.g., DVDs, art supplies, toys, disposable cameras, crayons, magazine subscriptions, etc.)
- Organize an event to raise money for Cincinnati Children's

Handmade Items
- Cut-out construction paper shapes (e.g., kites, fish, etc.), or pre-cut seasonal decorations: 3-inch sizes of various shapes can make art projects easier for children. Patients can then paint and decorate shapes or shapes can be used to decorate patient rooms or nursing units.
- School boxes: A school box or a decorated shoe box with crayons, pencils, rulers, glue, scissors, etc., is helpful for patients involved in the Hospital School Program.
- Individual craft kits in Ziploc bags with directions and supplies. Examples include:
- Cut-out felt hand puppets or finger puppets with items to decorate
- Friendship bracelets -- strands of floss and directions
- Bead necklace -- strand of elastic and selection of beads
- Clown face -- paper plate, yarn for hair, puff balls for eyes, etc.
- Make-your-own-card -- separately packaged for a variety of occasions -- birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Valentine's Day, etc. (in each set -- an envelope, a folded piece of paper for the card, designs on paper of different colors to cut and paste to card)
- Holiday activity bags -- cut-out shape (construction paper) of holiday item (Christmas tree, pumpkin, Menorah, Kwanza candles, Kinora, Easter egg, etc.) with items to decorate
- Blank sheets of paper with stickers, crayons and items to use as decorations
Knitted or crocheted booties and caps: Caps should be the size of an average grapefruit and booties should be 1-1/2 to 2" long. Blankets and quilts: All sizes of quilts are needed to provide bright colors and warmth for our patients. Machine quilting preferred, batting not necessary. Teaching dolls: Children can learn about surgery and other medical procedures by play acting the experience with a doll as a patient. The Sewing Room has a pattern for making these dolls.
