Michael Fisher Named New CEO

Michael Fisher, a respected business and civic leader and member of the Cincinnati Children’s board, has been elected the medical center’s next president and CEO.

“Michael brings a unique combination of experience, skill and proven leadership,” says Tom Cody, chairman of the board. “He understands the organization, its vision and values.”

Fisher has been president and CEO of Premier Manufacturing Support Services, which grew to be a global enterprise under his leadership. He also led the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce, the nation’s fifth largest chamber, for five years.

“I have been inspired by the vision, mission and culture of Cincinnati Children’s, and I see enormous potential for the hospital’s future,” Fisher says. “I believe all my professional experience has been preparing me for this opportunity to make a big contribution here.”

Fisher says some of his first priorities are to listen, observe and learn; strengthen and establish relationships; and guide and nurture the growth of the three newly formed institutes at Cincinnati Children’s.

“Fortunately, I have a good model for success in my predecessor. Under the visionary leadership of Jim Anderson and the extraordinary team he helped to bring together, Cincinnati Children’s is stronger than ever before,” Fisher says. “I look forward to working with the tremendous talent at Cincinnati Children’s and continuing the journey to be the globally acknowledged leader in child health.”
