Letter from the President

Letter from the President.

The 12th annual Celestial Ball was a huge success, raising more than $1 million to benefit Cincinnati Children's. President and CEO Michael Fisher enjoyed the change to spend time with special guests like Xander.

Friends,

I’ve been a proud Cincinnatian my entire life, and Cincinnati Children’s is fortunate to be a part of such a vibrant community.

Our success depends on the dedication and generosity of so many throughout our metropolitan area. In this issue of For the Children, we’re celebrating some of the hometown partners that help us make a difference for children.

Partners like the Cincinnati Reds and friends like you who made this year’s Celestial Ball a huge success – raising more than $1 million for community health initiatives. And partners like UC Health, who, along with Cincinnati Children’s, will soon open a Proton Therapy Center to offer adults the same advanced technology cancer treatments that we will provide our pediatric patients locally and from around the world.

There is still so much to be done to help the children of Cincinnati become among the healthiest in the nation. That work begins by addressing the social determinants of health … housing, food, safety, education, and more. That’s why I’ve joined dozens of civic leaders on a task force to significantly reduce the number of children in our city living in poverty. And it’s why Cincinnati Children’s partners with groups like the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati to remove barriers to child health.

Donors like you inspire us with your boundless passion, creativity, and commitment.

Thank you for helping us build a medical center that reflects our highest ideals and aspirations. We are changing the outcome together.

Take good care,

Take good care, Michael Fisher.

President and Chief Executive Officer
