Felodipine (Plendil®) is one drug in a class of drugs call calcium channel blockers. It is used to treat high blood pressure, or other conditions affecting the heart.
It is available as an extended release tablet in strengths of 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg.
Show All- Give the tablets only as directed. Do not stop giving the medicine unless the doctor tells you to stop.
- Take this medicine at the same time each day.
- Do not crush or chew the tablet.
- Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking this medicine.
- Take this medicine with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.
- Do not give any other medicines, prescription or over-the counter (OTC), without first talking to the doctor.
- Do not use after the expiration date on the bottle / package.
- Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
- If too much medicine is taken by accident, call the Drug and Poison Information Center (DPIC) 513-636-5111 or 1-800-222-1222, or call your child's doctor right away.

- Headache
- Flushed skin
- Swelling in hands or feet
Call the doctor right away if your child has extreme dizziness or tiredness, or has any chest pains.
