Cigarettes and Smoking
Nicotine is a very toxic substance. Nicotine isĀ found in cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, nicotine chewing gum and patches used by people who are trying to quit smoking, as well as from the used cigarette filters left laying in an ashtray. Ingestions of any of these items can be very dangerous in children.
Not only do cigarettes pose a poison danger for children who might put them in their mouth, but they are also a great fire risk. Keep cigarettes and all other flammable materials locked away and out of children's reach. Install smoke alarms in your home on every level and in every sleeping area.
