First Aid Kit
First aid kits come in handy for all kinds of emergencies. To have an effective first aid kit, it must be properly stocked. In addition to the typical first aid items, like bandages and antibiotic ointment, Cincinnati Children'sHospital Medical Center physicians recommend travel items you may not have considered:
- A resealable plastic bag, which can be used as a makeshift ice bag
- Children's Tylenol® (with appropriate dosing information for your child's age and weight)
- Your pediatrician's phone number
- An antibacterial scrub or soap, used to clean small abrasions or cuts
- Electrical outlet covers
