Lead pipes
Recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates reveal that almost 900,000 children between the ages of 1 and 5 living in the US have elevated lead levels. Approximately one out of every 11 children has dangerous levels of lead in their bloodstream. That number will only rise since a recent study by a researcher at Cincinnati Children'sHospital Medical Center has since shown that lead is toxic at concentrations in the blood that were previously thought to be harmless.
