Paste waxes are generally safe. Liquid waxes or finish restorers contain hydrocarbons that can get into the lungs if swallowed and cause a pneumonia-like condition. Rust removers often contain hydrofluoric acid, an extremely dangerous form of acid. Keep these products locked away.
