Paint

Both latex and oil-based indoor paints are relatively safe if small amounts are swallowed. However, paint ingredients vary greatly, so always keep out of reach of children. House paints produced after 1977 contain minimal, if any, lead.

Additionally, old or antique baby cribs may be painted with lead paint and therefore should not be used in place of a recently manufactured crib.
