Turkey Thawing on the Counter

Thawing food, especially meats, on the counter top gives any bacteria present a chance to grow. To decrease the chance of food poisoning, thaw foods in the refrigerator or in a microwave. Always be sure to wash your hands, utensils and counter with warm, soapy water after handling raw foods.
