Families Become Active in Care Through Web Portals

The Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center web site offers several chronic care portals to help families manage their child's medical condition. These portals provide secure access to up-to-date medical information such as lab reports, medications andprocedures. The portals providea way for parents to be active, informed members of the health care team. Portals are available for the following conditions:

New Parent-Child Exercise Classes

Parents now have the chance to show their young children the importance of exercise by getting active with them. The new Kids and Me Exercise Classes at Cincinnati Children's feature parents and kids working together to improve their physical activity and health habits. Two different class sessions target 2 to 3-year-olds and 4 to 5-year-olds. The ongoing classes are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and can be started at any time.

Listen Up! Hearing Tests Close to Home

When a newborn fails the hearing test given at the hospital, a follow-up exam called an ABR (auditory brain stem response) test is required. This test measures how well each ear can pick up sounds and how well the hearing nerve sends information to the brain. ABR tests and other audiology services are offered at:
