Clinical Trials Are Enrolling Now

The clinical trial, "Infant Formula Research Study," at Cincinnati Children's is now enrolling participants.

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center's involvement in clinical trials is crucial to understanding diseases and developing new ways to understand, prevent or treat health problems.

Infant Formula Research Study

Summary
This is a research study to find out which early diet – breast or bottle feeding – enables children to make equol (a helpful nutritional substance) when they drink soymilk, and at what age they are first able to make it. Soy's health benefits may be connected to the ability to make equol from soy.
Participants
Healthy infants 6 months of age or younger who were fed the following from 3 weeks of age may qualify to participate:
• Primarily breast milk, or
• Primarily cow's milk formula, or
• Primarily soymilk formula
Pay
Parents will be compensated for each completed study visit and the child will receive a gift certificate to Wal-Mart or Target.
