Heart Disease Study
- Summary
- Cincinnati Children's is conducting a study to compare heart disease risk in adolescents with and without type 2 diabetes. Findings will help researchers understand when heart and blood vessel problems occur and help other researchers find better ways to treat patients.
- Participants
- Volunteers ages 10 to 23 diagnosed with type 2 diabetes or without diabetes may be eligible.
- Pay
- Participants will receive $75 at the end of the first visit and $75 at the end of the second visit.

Down Syndrome Study
- Summary
- Children with Down syndrome often have difficulty with language and have a greater risk of developing autism than children with typical development. This study examines patterns of genes that may be involved in language development and that may increase the risk of autism. Two visits, about three hours each, will be scheduled at the family's convenience.
- Participants
- Children 4 to 18 years old diagnosed with Down syndrome with or without autism.

- Families will be compensated for time and travel.
