New Family Restrooms Available at Main Campus

New family restrooms at Cincinnati Children's are specially designed to accomodate older patients.

Four new family restrooms on the main campus of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center feature large, comfortable changing tables specially designed for older, heavier patients. The restrooms were suggested by the medical center's Family Advisory Council, a group of adult family volunteers and Cincinnati Children's employees who participate in hospital decision-making. Families with special needs can now use these restrooms which are large enough to accommodate a stroller or wheelchair. One family restroom can be found on D1, one on E2 and two on C2.

Visiting Policy Changes for Winter Months

Cincinnati Children's will begin visitor restrictions on December 15 as part of an effort to protect the health of our patients, families and staff. These restrictions are in response to the increasing prevalence of respiratory infections, not just influenza, during the winter months. In general, only those children seeking evaluation and / or treatment should be brought to the facility. All visitors should be healthy and must be at least 14 years old.

In-Room Dining for Families and Guests

Patients at Cincinnati Children's have used our in-room dining service for many years. Thanks to a suggestion from the Family Advisory Council, parents, families and guests can now also enjoy in-room dining. Food Services conducted a pilot program which was well received. Now the service will be offered more broadly in the hospital. Grey meal cards can still be purchased through Food Services for use in the Food Court or Convenience Store.
