Cincinnati Children's Named to Top Five by Child Magazine

Child magazine recently named Cincinnati Children's among the top five best children's hospitals in the United States. The medical center also was ranked fourth in neonatal care and fifth in cancer care in the magazine's 10 Best Children's Hospitals survey. The survey results appear in the February 2007 issue of the magazine. James M. Anderson, president and CEO, says, "This is particularly gratifying because the ranking is based on comparative analysis of detailed, comprehensive data. The outcome is a tribute to the intensive work Cincinnati Children's has done over the last five years to transform health care delivery."

Help for Families Affected by ADHD

A new Center for ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) at Cincinnati Children's offers families a full range of mental health services for ADHD, from initial assessment to effective treatment. Assessments are designed to pinpoint the individual needs of each child, while parenting interventions aim to teach parents the skills needed to effectively manage symptoms and behaviors associated with ADHD. In addition, the center is involved in clinical research and works with community-based organizations to improve care for children with ADHD.
