Visiting Policy Changes for Winter Months

To help protect the health of our patients, families and staff, Cincinnati Children’s will begin visitor restrictions on Dec. 15, 2008. These restrictions are in response to the increasing prevalence of respiratory infections, not just influenza, during the winter months. In general, only children seeking evaluation and/or treatment should be brought to the facility. All visitors should be healthy and must be at least 14 years old.

History Book Celebrates 125 Years for Cincinnati Children’s

2008 marks 125 years since Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center first opened its doors to children in a three-bedroom house in Walnut Hills. To help honor this significant event, a book of the medical center’s history has been released. The book, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, traces the history of the medical center from its founding in 1883 to the present. Nearly 200 photos feature important physicians, researchers and patients. Find it in bookstores and at the Cincinnati Children’s Gift Shop for $21.99.
