Learning Through Play Conference
Sponsored in part by Cincinnati Children’s, this conference will focus on using play as an effective tool in interactions with and education of young children. March 28, 9 am-4:30 pm, Cincinnati Museum Center. More information.
American Red Cross Child and Infant CPR
Learn emergency procedures to deal with breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children. $45 per couple. April 7, 12–4 pm, Cincinnati Children’s Oak Campus. Information: 513-636-4232, ext. 9.
Toddler Talk
Learn to encourage early communication skills. Children must be between 18 and 36 months old and have a known communication delay / disorder. This program is billed through your insurance coverage and a current speech and language assessment is required. Wednesdays, 9:30-11 am, Cincinnati Children’s Burnet Campus. ADHD Behavior Therapy
For parents of children ages 6 to 12 years with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Learn about ADHD and strategies for dealing with commonly experienced problems. Offered year-round at Burnet Campus and at neighborhood locations in Eastgate, Fairfield, Harrison and Mason. Information: 513-636-8107.
InterActions Parent-Child Interaction and Play Program
Designed to facilitate interaction between small groups of parents and their children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, ages 18 months to 4 years. This program is billed through your insurance coverage and a current speech and occupational therapy assessment is required. Cincinnati Children’s College Hill Campus. Information: 513-636-9673.
Introduction to the Kelly O’Leary Center
Services of the Kelly O’Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders and how to enroll. Free. Must pre-register. First Thursday of the month (times vary), Cincinnati Children’s Burnet Campus. Information: 513-636-8684.
Parent Group for Children With Apraxia of Speech

Parenting Group – Oppositional Behaviors
For parents of children 7 and under with oppositional behavior. Learn how to increase appropriate behaviors, decrease inappropriate behaviors and increase positive parent-child interactions. Social Skills Group
Children ages 5-7 who lack social skills learn to adapt in social situations by practicing appropriate behaviors. A clinical psychologist facilitates these sessions for children with Asperger-like clinical presentations; formal diagnosis not required. Twelve-week session, Cincinnati Children’s Burnet Campus. Surviving the Teens®
