Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Opens New Neighborhood Location in Green Township

Thursday, April 25, 2013

On Monday, April 29 the new Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center’s Green Township facility will be open for patient care.

The 80,000 square-foot facility is located at 5899 Harrison Avenue. Services that will be provided at Green Township include: Urgent care (with evening and weekend hours), psychology, laboratory and testing, X-ray and MRI, physical and occupational therapy, sports therapy, more than 20 pediatric medical and surgical specialty clinics, audiology and speech therapy, and psychiatry.

The Green Township location will allow Cincinnati Children’s to offer more appointments for pediatric specialty clinics. “The Green Township facility reflects Cincinnati Children’s commitment to providing services in locations that are convenient for the patients and families it serves,” says Char Mason, Vice President, Patient Services.

Among the benefits of the Green Township facility for families and physicians will be to:
• Serve many families closer to where they live
• Improve access to pediatric specialty services. Since many families in the Western Cincinnati area currently come to the Cincinnati Children's Burnet Avenue campus for services such as clinics, therapies, testing and radiology services, the new facility will help to decompress operations at the main hospital, thereby decreasing wait times and improving scheduling throughout the medical center.

More than 50,000 patient encounters are anticipated during the first year that the facility is open, and 300,000 during the first 5 years of operation.
