Special Needs Resource Directory

  • About the Directory / Overview

"A family without information cannot take responsibility and feels helpless; a family who is given information cannot help but to be empowered and take responsibility." - Family Voices, Utah

The Complex Care Center wants to empower you with information and resources so that you can best care for − and advocate for − your child. We offer a comprehensive compilation of resources in the Southwest Ohio area. Resources unique to Kentucky and Indiana are also featured, as well as national and international website links.

    Finding Information and Resources

Click on each of the broad topics on the left to find more specific sections. You can also use the search box on each page to type one or two important or significant words that describe the subject or resource you are trying to locate.

In this introductory section you'll find suggestions to help you get started and stay organized:

    • Getting Started: We want you to feel in control about where to begin after your child has been diagnosed with special healthcare needs.
    • Record Keeping and Forms: Find parent notebooks, tools and forms to help you organize and share your child’s important healthcare and support information.
    • Medical Home: We want to be part of your medical home. A medical home provides accessible, comprehensive, family-centered, coordinated, compassionate and culturally effective care for an infant, child or adolescent.

It is our experience that the information, resources and services needed by a patient or family may not always be specific to a particular condition or disease. This means that there is information on almost every one of the sections of this resource directory that may benefit you. We encourage you to take some time and checkout other topics besides the one that brought you here.
