  • Growing Family through Adoption & Foster Care, Risk for Abuse

Many children with special needs are waiting for welcoming families and homes. Like all children, they need the nurturing, support and advocacy that a family can provide to help them realize their hopes and dreams.

We have compiled services and resources that may be helpful in building families:

    • Adoption:  If you’re thinking of adopting a child with special healthcare needs, we can help you get started.
    • Foster Care:  Learn about the important decisions you will have to make, the processes involved and local and national agencies that can help.
    • Child Abuse / Neglect:  We recommend resources for family members, caregivers and health professionals who are facing the challenge of child abuse or neglect, which occurs more frequently among children with special needs.
