• Support Groups & Online Communities, Advocacy

Parents and siblings of children with special needs often gain strength by networking with others and realizing they are not alone. Join Special Connections, our new online parent support community. It is empowering to share your questions, frustrations, tears and celebrations with those facing similar challenges. Ask questions and share suggestions with others caring for a child with special healthcare needs.

We provide information and resources to help you connect with others:

    • Support Groups & Online Communities: Whether through group meetings or online communities, parents gain information and support from others facing the same issues and challenges.
    • Advocacy: You will gain experience by following health news, contacting your legislators, following pending legislation or getting in touch with a specialized group that will help you with your unique problems.
    • Community Calendar: Attend lectures, conferences and fundraisers to get involved.
    • Get Connected E-Newsletter: Subscribe to Get Connected, our quarterly e-newsletter for families and professionals who support children with special healthcare needs.
