2012 Visitor Parking Garage Renovation
Throughout 2012, we will be working to renovate and expand the visitor parking garage at our Burnet Campus (main hospital). When the project is complete, the garage will facilitate a much more efficient and appealing parking experience, but in the meantime we recommend arriving 15-20 minutes earlier than normal for appointments, as you may be directed to park in an unfamiliar garage location.
This renovation will:
- Add 230 family parking spaces, bringing the total to 1,000
- Change the flow of traffic to make it easier to enter, find an available spot, and exit
- Provide a more welcoming environment for families
When the garage is approaching capacity or a new traffic flow pattern is being introduced, look for the traffic directors in neon green vests with reflectors, they can help you find a spot to park as quickly as possible. Some changes through the year will be temporary and others will be permanent, but please know that we will help you navigate the garage during these changes.
Personnel in our clinics are aware of the challenges that parking may present during the coming months and understand that late arrivals for appointments may happen. Please try to arrive a bit early to allow a few extra minutes to find parking, but do not stress or rush to make an appointment. Your family’s safe arrival is more important than anything else.
