Advanced Pharmacy Series for Prescribers

CME Overview

The Educational Streaming Media Program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provides Advanced Pharmacy Series for Prescribers via streaming media. View a list of all system requirements. 

Presentations are only approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for up to one year from the presentation date. In order to obtain credit, the online post test must be completed. Upon successful completion, a certificate is available to print. Credit records are also tracked electronically by the CME office. The estimated time to complete this activity, including review of the materials, is 1.0 hour(s). 

This CME activity is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians as well as other health care professionals. Information and opinion offered by the contributors represent their viewpoints. Conclusions drawn by the participant should be derived from careful consideration of all available scientific information. Prescription information and use of medical devices should be undertaken only after confirmation of information by consulting the FDA-approved uses and information. 

If at any time during this activity you feel that there has been commercial or promotional bias, please indicate on the evaluation section of the post test. 

All presenters have signed a video tape release form allowing their presentation and its content to be viewed on the web. Presenters are also required to verify that the necessary steps have been taken to ensure patients privacy and confidentiality.

Cincinnati Children's is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

Cincinnati Children's designates this enduring material for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Advanced Pharmacy Series for Prescribers Educational Gap: Pediatric diagnosis and treatment changes at a rapid pace; additionally the FDA approves or modifies guidelines on hundreds products from January-March 2011.  With the introduction of these new therapies and treatments, it is crucial that prescribers stay current with best practice.

Advanced Pharmacy Series for Prescribers Educational Objectives: 1. Acquire knowledge based on diagnosis and management of selected pediatric conditions, 2. Discuss the diagnostic approach and treatment of a variety of pediatric patients, 3. Explain the clinical efficacy of medications used to treat a variety of pediatric conditions.
