Child Psychiatry Grand Rounds Educational Gap: Many mental health professionals and pediatricians practice based on clinical experience and clinical training.  The gap is to strive towards more evidence-based practice by presenting research and scientific evidence. Evidence-based practice, in mental health, is important to provide justification and reasons for the specific treatment approach within different systems.

Child Psychiatry Grand Rounds Series Objectives:

  • Discuss evidence based approaches in the clinical treatment of children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders.
  • Identify children at risk for psychiatric disorders enabling earlier treatment and/or prevention.
  • Discuss research in basic science, clinical treatment, health care delivery and prevention.

Additionally, some Child Psychiatry Grand Rounds are "multimedia enhanced" with interactive PowerPoint slides. For additional information on your system requirements please visit Help and Frequently Asked Questions.
