CME Overview
The Educational Streaming Media Program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provides Neonatology Grand Rounds via streaming media. View a list of all system requirements.
Presentations are only approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for up to one year from the presentation date. In order to obtain credit, the online post test must be completed. Upon successful completion, a certificate is available to print. Credit records are also tracked electronically by the CME office. The estimated time to complete this activity, including review of the materials, is 1.0 hour(s).
This CME activity is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians as well as other health care professionals. Information and opinion offered by the contributors represent their viewpoints. Conclusions drawn by the participant should be derived from careful consideration of all available scientific information. Prescription information and use of medical devices should be undertaken only after confirmation of information by consulting the FDA-approved uses and information.

Neonatology Grand Rounds Educational Gap: Life long learning is required for keeping the skill set of knowledge competence up to date when caring for newborns. Cincinnati Children’s practitioners maintain knowledge by reviewing current Morbidity and Mortality within the institution, research advances, quality initiatives, outcomes benchmarking data, and position statements from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Neonatology Grand Rounds Series Objectives: 1. Discuss the pathophysiology of common diseases in newborn infants. 2. Describe the diagnostic approach used to identify and determine the severity of these illnesses. 3. Discuss the treatment strategies used for these disease and the medical evidence supporting their use.
